A few ground rules.
Vid2Subs helps create and edit subtitles. You remain in charge of the media you use and the final content you publish.
Last updated 16 October 2026
Use of the service
Use Vid2Subs only for media you own or are authorized to process. Do not use the service to violate another person’s rights or applicable law, or to submit content you are not permitted to send to a cloud speech-recognition provider.
Your content and outputs
You keep your rights in your media and edits. You are responsible for reviewing generated subtitles, including names, translations, timing, and accessibility, before publishing. AI transcription may omit, mishear, or mis-time speech, especially with noise, overlapping speakers, or unsupported languages.
Availability and technical limits
Transcription depends on Cloudflare Workers AI availability and account allowances. Video export depends on the browser’s media APIs, codec support, and available device resources; MP4 export is unavailable when the required APIs or encoder are missing. Local project storage depends on your browser and can be cleared by the browser, device, or user. We do not promise uninterrupted service or preservation of locally saved projects.
No professional advice or warranty
The tool is provided as available, without a guarantee that generated captions are accurate, suitable for a particular purpose, or legally compliant. Check the final result yourself. This statement does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded in your location.
Questions and updates
Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact form. We may revise the terms as the service changes and will update the date above. Before public launch, the site operator should add their legal entity, address, governing-law details, and any required consumer notices with qualified legal review.
